On 7 April, Portugal confirmed in Decree-Law No. 14-A/2020 that the deadline for mandatory Business-to-Government (B2G) electronic invoices would be delayed from 18 April 2020. The new deadlines are:
- 1 January 2021 for large businesses
- 1 July 2021 for small and medium sized businesses
- 1 January 2022 for micro-businesses
The delay recognises the challenges businesses are facing with the current COVID-29 crisis. Follow Avalara’s live global coronavirus Covid-19 VAT measures tracker.
